Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, July 17, 2026
The Contractor Licensing Board hereby provides of its intent to amend its rules and regulations. The purpose of the amendments is to effectuate the Governing Body's intent under Ordinance #4592 (Nov. 16, 2024). The purpose of this chapter is to protect the public health, safety and welfare by regulating and controlling the practice of certain building and professional trades within the city by requiring that only contractors, licensed by the contractor licensing board, and persons actively supervised by licensed contractors may engage in those certain trades.
Authority is granted cities and towns by Wyo. Stat. Section 15-1-103(a)(xiii) to license and regulate activities affiliated with building contractors and certain building and professional trades. This chapter may be referred to as the "Cheyenne Contractor Licensing Ordinance."
Interested persons may present their views on the proposed rulemaking, in writing, to the Contractor Licensing Board, Attn: Dan Peters, at 2101 O'Neil Ave. Rm 202, Cheyenne, WY 82001, no later than forty-five (45) days following date of this notice. The next Contractor Licensing Board meeting will be on Tuesday August 11th at 9:00am at 2101 O'Neil Ave, City Council Chambers. A public hearing will be set following the 45-day period if requested by 25 or more persons, a governmental subdivision, or by an association having not less than 25 members.
