Larry Wolfe was appointed to the Cheyenne City Council on November 24, 2025. He arrived in Cheyenne in 1974 to spend a summer, fresh from graduating from the University of California, Davis. Rather than return to California he stayed and has lived here 51 years. He went to law school at the University of Wyoming, graduating in 1980. Larry has been a member of the Wyoming State Bar for 46 years. He practiced energy, natural resources, environmental, state taxation, litigation, appellate law, renewable energy, administrative law and had an active government regulatory practice. He worked for the Wyoming Attorney General as a water and natural resources for five years. Larry joined the regional law firm of Holland & Hart in 1985 where he served as Managing Partner of the firm and head of the Natural Resources and Environmental Law practice.
Larry has served the Cheyenne community for many decades. He was President of the Board of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, President of the Board of Cheyenne LEADS, President of the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra Board. He has served on many nonprofit Boards, large and small, including the University of Wyoming Foundation Board.
Larry is married to Jennifer, his wife of almost 50 years. She is a Cheyenne native. He has two grown children.
