Meetings

City Council meetings are administered by the Governing Body and are held at 6:00 pm on the second and fourth Monday of each month in Council Chambers. The Mayor, or the President of the City Council in the Mayor's absence, presides over City Council meetings. The City's agenda and minutes page can be found here

Meetings are streamed live on the City's Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages. 

City Council Meetings are also televised live on Charter Spectrum channel 192 for Cheyenne residents. Council meetings are also available for viewing online at City Videos.

Holidays

Should a City Council meeting date fall on a holiday, the meeting will be held the day immediately following the holiday. A quorum of the Governing Body consists of a majority of all ten elected city officials. Robert's Rules of Order, applicable State Statutes, and City Code govern the conduct and format of the meetings.

New Items

Each new item introduced on the City Council agenda is referred to one of three standing committees for review and recommendation prior to an official vote by the Governing Body. There are a few exceptions to this procedure. Standing committees meet the week immediately preceding City Council meetings. The three standing committees are: Public Services CommitteeFinance Committee and Committee of the Whole.
