Rooted in Cheyenne will be hosting a free Tree Care Workshop at Laramie County Community College in the Pathfinder Building, ANB Bank Leadership Room, on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
This workshop is ideal for homeowners who have recently planted or plan to plant trees themselves or through Rooted in Cheyenne. Attendees will learn from industry experts about various topics such as why you should plant trees, hardy fruit trees for Cheyenne, designing low-water landscapes and how to preserve mature trees and maintain a healthy canopy. Certified arborists will be available to answer tree maintenance questions, and other related public services and nonprofits will be available to provide information regarding their services and opportunities.
Breakfast is included with registration and 20 lucky attendees will receive a 5-gallon tree, valued at $75. Space is limited so early registration is encouraged and can be found on the events page of Rooted in Cheyenne’s website.
The 2025 Rooted in Cheyenne Tree Care Workshop is provided at no cost to attendees thanks to funding from Wyoming Community Foundation’s Microsoft Technology & Sustainability grant program.
