City reminds residents of temporary locations for some services

The City of Cheyenne is reminding residents of locations for some City services during the temporary closure of the Municipal Building.
The Clerk’s Office and Human Resources are located at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens, 710 S. Lions Park Drive.
The Building Safety Division, Planning & Development Department, MPO, Downtown Development Authority, and City Engineer are located on the fifth floor of the office building at 2020 Carey Ave. The Mayor’s Office and City Attorney are located on the third floor of the same building.
Several other City offices have relocated to other City-owned buildings.
These locations will remain in effect until further notice. City services that were not typically located in the Municipal Building are not affected by the closure.
Additionally, City Council will continue to offer in-person attendance at its committee meetings, work sessions, and full meetings of the Governing Body. All City Council meetings remain at their regular times but will be held in the Laramie County School District #1 Board Room at Storey Gym. Those who wish to attend Council meetings should enter the board room from the north side of the building. Meetings will continue to be streamed on Zoom but streaming to the City’s Facebook and YouTube may be interrupted.
This information will continue to be updated at the top of the City’s website at www.cheyennecity.org.
The Municipal Building closed following reports of carbon monoxide in the interior of the building. The City is currently investigating the issue and is conducting air monitoring throughout the Municipal Building, which is expected to take a few weeks while data is collected.
The closure is out of an abundance of caution to protect City staff and the public from carbon monoxide exposure.
All City services remain available to the public and the main City phone line remains open at 307-637-6200. City staff and departments are available by phone and e-mail at their regular numbers.
