City plans transition back to Municipal Building
Published on November 06, 2025
The City of Cheyenne will begin returning some services to the Municipal Building (2101 O’Neil Ave.) over the next few weeks.
City Council will hold its Friday, Nov. 7, work session and Monday, Nov. 10, meeting in Council Chambers.
City departments are anticipated to begin moving back to the building starting Monday, Nov. 17. The transition will involve the physical relocation of staff, furniture, equipment, and other materials necessary to reestablish full operations within the building.
Visitors who would like in-person City services should check the City website (www.cheyennecity.org) or contact the appropriate department for up-to-date information about that department’s location during the move. Online services continue to be available.
The City temporarily closed the Municipal Building out of an abundance of caution following reports of carbon monoxide in the interior of the building. The City conducted air quality monitoring during the closure, which has not resulted in detectable levels of carbon monoxide.
The City will continue to monitor the building and investigate any issues or concerns.
“Safety of our staff and visitors is our top priority,” Mayor Patrick Collins said. “We will take any steps necessary to ensure a safe working environment for our employees.”
All City services remain available to the public and the main City phone line remains open at 307-637-6200. City staff and departments are available by phone and e-mail at their regular numbers.
