Published on October 09, 2025
Due to the Columbus Day holiday on Monday, Oct. 13, the City of Cheyenne Sanitation Division has announced the trash, recycling, and yard waste pick-up schedule for that week.
Scheduled trash, recycling, and yard waste pick-up for the week of Oct. 13-17 will slide forward one day, with Monday pickups moving to Tuesday, Tuesday to Wednesday, Wednesday to Thursday, and Thursday to Friday.
The Solid Waste Transfer Station (220 N. College Drive) and the Happy Jack Landfill (1416 Happy Jack Road) will be closed Monday, Oct. 13, and reopen on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
Household Hazardous Waste (220 N. College Drive) and the Compost Facility (3714 Windmill Road) will be closed Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 13-14, and reopen on Wednesday, Oct. 15.
The Sanitation Division Office will be available by phone or appointment only on Oct. 13.
Other City offices will remain open on Columbus Day.
Residents should remember to bag all trash to help prevent it from blowing out of containers and the landfill, keep recycling unbagged, cut/break down boxes to 2’ x 2’, and not place branches, bags, or tumbleweeds in yard waste containers.
