The City of Cheyenne Municipal Building (2101 O’Neil Ave.) is currently closed. The Building Division, MPO, and Planning & Development are available in-person at the U.S. Bank Building (2020 Carey Ave.). City Clerk & Human Resources are available in-person at the Botanic Gardens (710 S. Lions Park Dr.).All departments are available by phone and e-mail using their regular contact information.
The Building Department has launched their online license & permit portal. Company Contractors can find their claim code below to activate their online account, scroll down to Licenses and Permits then click on Building Safety Division – Contractor Licensing then follow the directions listed. An online account will be required to apply for permits with the Building Department.

Cheyenne City Council members nominated Council’s new president and vice president during the annual Straw Poll Dinner on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
Councilman Dr. Mark Rinne, representing Ward 2, was nominated as president and Councilman Scott Roybal, representing Ward 1, was nominated as vice president. The nominations will be formally voted on at the City Council meeting on Jan. 6 and will be effective for one year.
In 2024, Councilman Ken Esquibel, representing Ward 3, was president and Dr. Rinne was vice president.
