City offices including Transit will be closed on Tuesday, November 11th in observation of Veterans Day. Residential trash, recycling, and yard waste pickups will slide forward one day beginning on Tuesday (Tuesday pickups move to Wednesday, Wednesday pickups move to Thursday, Thursday pickups move to Friday). Monday pickups will remain as scheduled. See link for additional closure information.
The Building Department has launched their online license & permit portal. Company Contractors can find their claim code below to activate their online account, scroll down to Licenses and Permits then click on Building Safety Division – Contractor Licensing then follow the directions listed. An online account will be required to apply for permits with the Building Department.
The City of Cheyenne Municipal Building (2101 O’Neil Ave.) is currently closed. The Building Division, MPO, and Planning & Development are available in-person at the U.S. Bank Building (2020 Carey Ave.). City Clerk & Human Resources are available in-person at the Botanic Gardens (710 S. Lions Park Dr.).All departments are available by phone and e-mail using their regular contact information.

CHEYENNE – Early this morning, Cheyenne Fire Rescue responded to a fully involved recreational vehicle on fire. The vehicle was located in an alley behind the 600 block of W. 21st St. and caused damage to an outbuilding also.
Crews were dispatched at 3:14 a.m. and began fire extinguishment by 3:17 a.m. The fire was ruled out at 3:55 a.m.
A burn victim was located by Cheyenne Police Department officers a block away and was transported by ambulance for further evaluation and treatment.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation and no further information is available currently.
