Cheyenne Fire and Rescue is reminding residents that the three new stations under construction in Cheyenne are not yet staffed or open for use.
The department has received reports of people going to the new stations seeking assistance or help.
“We know the stations look complete, but they’re not quite finished just yet,” Chief John Kopper said. “Residents should call 9-1-1 in an emergency.”
CFR expects the new stations to be complete and occupied around March 2024.
The stations are being built using 2021 6th Penny funds. They are located on Converse Avenue near Dell Range Boulevard, on Old Trail Road just south of Nationway, and on Countryside Avenue just west of Whitney Road.
