Using the Landfill

The City of Cheyenne Happy Jack landfill is located at 1461 Happy Jack Road Cheyenne Wyoming, approximately 11 miles West of Cheyenne Wyoming.

 Citizens may dump all Municipal Solid Waste and Construction Demolition. Landfill fees are assessed by weight per the City's Solid Waste Fee Schedule (Ordinance 4304). 

If you are bringing materials to the landfill for disposal, do not wear open toed shoes such as sandals or flip flops.  For your own safety please wear appropriate, sturdy, close-toed footwear.

Method of Payment

Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted.  Charge accounts may be established and are encouraged.  Ask attendant for application.

A convenience fee of 2.5% will be assessed for credit and debit card payments.

 

Closure Information

If the wind reaches 30 mph at the Landfill, in accordance with DEQ Guidelines, the Landfill will close down. If the wind remains under 30 mph for more than one hour, they will re-open.
