City offices will be closed on Friday, July 3rd. There will be no changes to residential, trash, recycle or yard waste pickups this week. In observance of America 250, July 4 celebrations are scheduled throughout the day on Saturday, July 4, 2026.Fireworks will be held at the Wyoming State Capitol this year. There will not be fireworks at Frontier Park.
The Compost Facility was founded in 1999. In 2003 the City Council passed an ordinance banning all yard waste from the Landfill. The City has dedicated resources to ensure that a growing City population can recycle yard waste and replenish lost soil nutrients through the Composting process. Section 8.44.070 of the City Code requires that all persons transporting refuse or recyclable materials must cover the load with a tarp, or tie down with load straps.
