The City of Cheyenne’s Building Safety Division will hold an open house on Thursday, May 28, for residents and contractors to learn about the 2026 National Electrical Code.
In September 2023, the City of Cheyenne Governing Body approved the expansion of the City of Cheyenne Development Incentive Program (DIP). This program was developed to encourage and incentivize the development of quality projects that add to the vitality of Cheyenne.
The program provides reimbursement of building permit fees for eligible projects. Eligible project building fee reimbursements are:
(Up to $5,000 per project)
Affordable Single-family Homes: Up to $5,000 per project
Affordable Multi-family Housing: Up to $10,000 per project
Project must be one of the following:
Apply for a building permit at www.cheyennecity.org/Your-Government/Departments/Compliance-Department/Building-Permitting-Licensing or in-person at 2101 O’Neil Ave, Suite 202.
Project must be completed within one (1) year of issuance of reimburseable building permit.
Go to the City of Cheyenne OpenGov Portal for the Fee Waiver Reimbursement, then follow the instructions to apply. Any project eligible for building permit fee reimbursement must be completed before June 30, 2030.
