Rooted in Cheyenne will host a Homeowner Tree Care Workshop on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Laramie County Community College.

The workshop will be in the ANB Bank Leadership Room of LCCC’s Pathfinder Building and is ideal for homeowners who have recently planted or plan to plant trees either by themselves or through Rooted in Cheyenne.

Attendees will learn about trees suitable to Cheyenne and how to plant and care for trees so they survive our difficult environment. Local and regional experts will share their experience and knowledge through presentations and hands-on activities, including a tree planting and pruning demonstration.

A light breakfast is included with registration. Various tree-related door prizes will be up for grabs and one lucky winner will receive an 8-foot tree valued at over $250. Attendance is capped at 100 participants. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased at Rooted in Cheyenne’s website under the Events tab.
