The Transit main office located at 322 W Lincolnway will be closed the remainder of today, Thursday October 8, 2026 and possibly Friday October 9, 2026 for roof work at the Spiker garage. Dispatch lines will remain open for normal operating hours. If you need assistance please go to the office on the 17th St and Carey Ave side and knock on the door.
Due to the Columbus Day holiday on Monday, Oct. 12, the City of Cheyenne Sanitation Division will have a modified trash, recycling, and yard waste pick-up schedule for that week. Pick-ups will slide forward one day.Non-Sanitation City offices will remain open on Columbus Day. Please use the provided link to see the Sanitation department closures for the week of October 12th.

CHEYENNE – The City of Cheyenne will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Christensen Road and Railroad Overpass at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 18th. The event will take place on the south side of the new overpass structure north of Commerce Circle.
The City encourages the public to watch the ceremony via a live stream on the City of Cheyenne Facebook page.
The recently completed 6th Penny connector project is located on the east edge of the Cheyenne urban area. The new transportation corridor accommodates motor vehicles, freight, transit, bikes, and pedestrians. It begins at the intersection of Commerce Circle in the center of the Cheyenne LEADS Business Parkway and heads generally north crossing the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR), intersecting East Pershing Boulevard, then continuing north to an intersection with U.S. Highway 30. The total length of the project is 1.25 miles.
This overpass bridge connection increases the total UPRR corridor crossings to seven within the Cheyenne area. This critical road and bridge connection provides improved access and response time for emergency services to the I-80 Campstool Interchange, Cheyenne LEADS Business Parkway, Campstool Business Park, and other surrounding privately owned properties and businesses which accommodates over 4,700 employees.
