Back for its ninth year, Cheyenne Ice & Event Center’s Chicken Curling Tournament is set for 2024, and registration is now open for the event.

Chicken curling is exactly what it sounds like – the sport of curling, but with donated, expired frozen chickens instead of stones.

Teams of four compete to win the contest in a double elimination format, and spectators are encouraged to attend.

The 2024 Chicken Curling Tournament will be held at the Cheyenne Ice & Events Center on Saturday, March 23, at noon.

Registration is open until Wednesday, March 20. Teams must have four members, all over 18 years old, and are encouraged to come up with a witty name and may wear costumes to the event.

Teams should contact Bailey Miller at bmiller@cheyennecity.org to register and for more information.
