Public comment period opens for CDBG funds and programs

The City of Cheyenne’s Housing & Community Development Division has announced the release of the Draft 2025-2027 Consolidated Plan, the 2025 Annual Action Plan, and the Draft 2025 Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice. All documents are open for public comment and review.
The Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan outlines community needs, funding priorities, and proposed uses for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. The Analysis of Impediments identifies barriers to fair housing and recommends solutions.
Draft documents will be available for public review from June 9 to July 8, 2025, at the Laramie County Library (3rd Floor), Mayor’s Office and Clerk’s Office (City Municipal Building, 2101 O’Neil Ave.), and the City website at www.cheyennecity.org/CDBG.
Comments must be submitted by July 8, 2025, at 5 p.m. to Amy Gorbey, Community Development Manager, at agorbey@cheyennecity.org. Submissions should include the commenter’s name, address, and phone number.
Two public hearings on the 2025-2027 Consolidated Plan and 2025 Annual Action Plan will be held at the Municipal Building, 1st Floor, City Council Chambers, 2101 O’Neil Ave.:
- Monday, June 23, 2025, at 6 p.m. (during the City Council Meeting)
- Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 12 p.m. (during the Finance Committee Meeting)
