Public comment period opens for 2026 CDBG Annual Action Plan

The Housing and Community Development Office for the City of Cheyenne has started its annual public comment period for the office’s Annual Action Plan, which sets the goals the office has for the next program year that begins July 1.

The Housing and Community Development Office administers federal Community Development Block Grant funds, of which the City is expected to receive $418,483 for Program Year 2026. The Annual Action Plan outlines the proposed projects and activities that will receive CDBG money.

The Annual Action Plan is available online at www.cheyennecity.org/cdbg and at the Laramie County Library and at the Mayor’s Office and the Clerk’s Office at the Municipal Building.

A public hearing on the CDBG funds will be held on Wednesday, June 17, at 5 p.m. in the HR Conference Room at the Municipal Building, 2101 O’Neil Ave. A 30-day public comment period will run from June 18 to July 18.
