Milling and repaving work will affect traffic patterns on a section of Dell Range Boulevard beginning Sunday evening, Aug. 24.
Work will take place from Marble Avenue on the east end to Powderhouse Road in the west. Crews will begin with the outer westbound lane, change to the outer eastbound lane, then repeat the pattern with the inner and center lanes.
Most construction will take place beginning around 6 p.m. into the overnight hours on Sundays through Thursdays, though some work will take place during daytime hours. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained but may involve detour routes.
The scope of work for this project includes the removal of approximately 3” of existing asphalt, placement of 2.5” of new asphalt, and a .75” high performance wearing course. It will also include adjusting all utility manholes and water valves to the new finish grade, epoxy lane striping, and thermoplastic traffic symbols and crosswalk bars.
Work is expected to take 90 days, weather permitting. Drivers should use caution in the work zone and should consider using alternate routes.
