Candidate interviews for the vacant Ward 1 Cheyenne City Council seat are scheduled over the next two weeks.

The first round of interviews is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 28, and Wednesday, Oct. 29. Following the first round of interviews, Ward 1 Councilmen Pete Laybourn and Jeff White will deliberate in private and will select finalists for a second round of interviews.

Council will then vote on the candidate(s) to fill the vacant Ward 1 seat that was held by the late Scott Roybal. If approved, the candidate will be sworn in at the Nov. 10 meeting.

All interviews will be held at the Kiwanis Community House. The interviews will be open to the public but no public comment will be accepted at the interviews. Candidates are not permitted to sit in on other candidates’ interviews.
