With the significant rainfall Cheyenne received recently, Greenway users are asked to be aware of water in several underpasses in the Greenway network.
Water is currently being pumped out and drained from underpasses. As underpasses dry out, Greenway users should exercise caution in those areas and the Greenway could temporarily be muddy.
Many Greenway underpasses are in flood prone and riparian zones, including low-lying areas and next to creeks. In these areas, heavy precipitation can cause water levels to rise, leading to flooding.
