In observance of America 250, July 4 celebrations are scheduled throughout the day on Saturday, July 4, 2026.Fireworks will be held at the Wyoming State Capitol this year. There will not be fireworks at Frontier Park.
City offices will be closed on Friday, July 3rd. There will be no changes to residential, trash, recycle or yard waste pickups this week. There will also be no changes to commercial pickups on Friday, July 3, but commercial pickups scheduled for Saturday, July 4, will be collected on Friday.See link below for City office closure information including Transit and Recreation Facilities.

The Cheyenne City Council will hold a work session to receive information and discuss future renovations to space used for Council offices and meeting areas in light of Municipal Building renovations on Friday, Feb. 6, at 1:30 p.m. No votes will be taken during this work session.
An agenda for the meeting will be available at www.cheyennecity.org/minutesandagendas.
The session is available to attend in-person in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building (2101 O’Neil Ave.) and will also be available to watch remotely. A Zoom link and information about watching remotely will be available at www.cheyennecity.org/zoom.
No public comment will be taken during the work session and no other business will be conducted.
