In observance of America 250, July 4 celebrations are scheduled throughout the day on Saturday, July 4, 2026.Fireworks will be held at the Wyoming State Capitol this year. There will not be fireworks at Frontier Park.
City offices including Transit will be closed on Friday, June 19th for the Juneteenth holiday. There will be no changes to residential, trash, recycle or yard waste pickups this week. There will also be no changes to commercial pickups on Friday, June 19, but pickups scheduled for Saturday, June 20, will be collected on Friday. See link below for City office closure information.

The Cheyenne City Council will hold a special meeting on Thursday, March 12, at 6 p.m.
The meeting’s topic will be collective labor bargaining with Cheyenne Professional Firefighters, International Association of Firefighters, Local No. 279, pursuant to Wyoming Statute Section 27-10-104. No other business will be conducted during this meeting and no public comment will be accepted.
The meeting will be available to attend in-person in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building (2101 O’Neil Ave.) and will also be available to watch remotely.
