Council to hold meetings on goal setting, annual audit, and 6th Penny

The Cheyenne City Council will hold work sessions this week on its annual goal setting and the City’s Fiscal Year 2025 Audit. In addition, Council will hold a Committee of the Whole meeting on potential 2026 6th Penny projects. Information about each meeting is below.
Committee of the Whole – Wednesday, Jan. 14
Council will hold a Committee of the Whole meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 6 p.m. to discuss potential 6th Penny projects for the upcoming 2026 6th Penny election.
The resolution under consideration by Council as introduced on Monday, Jan. 12, can be found on the City’s website.
Public comment on the topic of the 6th Penny will be accepted at the Committee of the Whole meeting and no other business will be conducted.
Goal Setting Work Session – Thursday, Jan. 15
Council will hold its annual Goal Setting Work Session on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 5:30 p.m. in the gallery of Council Chambers at the Municipal Building.
The purpose of this work session is to review 2025 Council goals, outline goals Council would like to meet in 2026, and develop a plan to execute those goals.
No public comment will be taken during the work session and no other business will be conducted. In-person seating during this work session will be limited, but the meeting will be available to watch online.
FY 2025 Audit Work Session – Friday, Jan. 16
City Council will hold a work session to receive a presentation of the financial & compliance audit for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, on Friday, Jan. 16, at noon.
