Compost Facility seasonal Sunday hours end Sept. 30, 2025

The City of Cheyenne Compost Facility will end seasonal Sunday hours after Sept. 30, 2025.

Each year from May 1 to Sept. 30, the facility opens for additional drop-off hours on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The last Sunday hours for 2025 will be Sunday, Sept. 28.

The Compost Facility will remain open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located at 3714 Windmill Road. Large loads are not accepted after 4:30 p.m.

Residential yard waste will continue to be collected through mid-November. The final collection for this year’s yard waste program will be the week of Nov. 17-20. The last branch pickup will be Nov. 20, 2025.
