Wyoming Pathways will host a Pedestrian & Cyclist Safety Workshop at the Cheyenne Public Safety Center (Community Room) on Friday, Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with support from the Wyoming Department of Transportation. This open house-style event is free and open to the public, and snacks will be provided.

The workshop brings together local experts and community partners to share insights, offer safety resources, and gather public feedback to help shape safer walking and biking conditions throughout Cheyenne.

Confirmed partners include:

  • City of Cheyenne
  • Cheyenne Metropolitan Planning Organization
  • Laramie County School District #1
  • Cheyenne Police Department
  • Cheyenne Regional Medical Center – Public Health Education
  • And others working to improve active transportation and public safety in the area.

“This event brings together community partners and local experts to share knowledge and resources,” said Grace Templeton of Wyoming Pathways. “We want to hear from residents about what safety challenges they face and what changes would make Cheyenne’s streets feel safer for everyone.”

The workshop will offer attendees a chance to hear directly from local leaders and professionals who are working to improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists. Community members will also have the opportunity to ask questions, share personal experiences, and help inform the priorities.
