All roofing contractors are required to be licensed through the City of Cheyenne Building Safety Division, permits are required to be pulled for each address.Residents should ensure contractors, including for roofing and siding, are licensed by the City and that the contractor has pulled a permit for their property.
The Building Department has launched their online license & permit portal. Company Contractors can find their claim code below to activate their online account, scroll down to Licenses and Permits then click on Building Safety Division – Contractor Licensing then follow the directions listed. An online account will be required to apply for permits with the Building Department.

CHEYENNE – Due to weather conditions and snow accumulation, the City of Cheyenne has extended its complete closure of non-emergency offices for Wednesday, March 17th. This includes staff at the Board of Public Utilities (BOPU), however, please call 307-637-6471 if you have a water or sewer emergency.
Any unnecessary travel is discouraged at this time. We appreciate your patience to allow snowplows and emergency vehicles to operate. City and contracted crews are working around-the-clock to remove snow from primary and connector streets in addition to residential areas.
Due to the closure, transit buses will not be available. Additionally, those who had an arraignment or ticket due on Monday, March 15th or Wednesday, March 17th through the Municipal Court have been rescheduled for Friday, March 26th at 9:30 a.m.
Despite the closure, the City will conduct their committee meetings remotely through Zoom on Wednesday, March 17th. The Finance Committee Meeting is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. and the Public Services Committee Meeting will begin at 4:00 p.m. Zoom information and links for both meetings can be accessed at www.cheyennecity.org/ecm
The City of Cheyenne will notify employees and the public if weather interferes with normal business operations past Wednesday.
