Following the high wind event on March 12, the Cheyenne Sanitation Division is offering services for residents, particularly those with Thursday pickups.

The Airport Golf Club and Prairie View Golf Course will be closed through the weekend and into next week as staff clears trees and removes debris from both courses.The Airport Golf Club's lounge and dining room remain open.

Cheyenne Transit Program services will close Thursday, March 12, at 12 p.m. due to high winds causing safety concerns.
The Sanitation Division is also ending service. Residents are urged to collect any trash and recycling containers.
Wind gusts in Cheyenne have been reported in excess of 80 mph.
In addition, the Happy Jack Landfill and Compost Facility remain closed for the day. The Airport Golf Club and Prairie View Golf Course are also closed.
Residents are encouraged to secure outdoor items and use caution while driving as debris can be blown into streets. Cheyenne remains under a High Wind Warning until Saturday night, March 14.
