In observance of America 250, July 4 celebrations are scheduled throughout the day on Saturday, July 4, 2026.Fireworks will be held at the Wyoming State Capitol this year. There will not be fireworks at Frontier Park.
City offices including Transit will be closed on Friday, June 19th for the Juneteenth holiday. There will be no changes to residential, trash, recycle or yard waste pickups this week. There will also be no changes to commercial pickups on Friday, June 19, but pickups scheduled for Saturday, June 20, will be collected on Friday. See link below for City office closure information.

The Cheyenne Transit Program will introduce a pilot circular route on Monday, June 1.
The new route will begin and end at Stinson Avenue and West 17th Street, continue through downtown, north on Yellowstone Road to Storey Boulevard, south and east through the Dell Range corridor, south on College Drive, and then west on Campstool Road before returning via Logan Avenue and Lincolnway.
The new route will be in addition to CTP’s existing services and will improve service in some areas of the community and better manage summer ridership loads.
The pilot route is planned to run through Aug. 31.
