Cheyenne Transit FREE Fixed Route Bus Services to Begin September 5

CHEYENNE – On Tuesday, September 5th, the Cheyenne Transit Program (CTP) will implement a FREE fixed-route bus service.
CTP’s fixed route service will operate Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No service will be provided on Sundays.
Riders are encouraged to use Google Maps to assist with trip planning as it provides specific details on bus stop locations and ride times. Enter the location you wish to travel to, click directions, enter the location you are starting from, and click on the bus icon. CTP’s ADA complementary paratransit will provide free comparable service to the regular fixed route service for individuals who meet the requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The free service operates within a ¾ mile radius of the fixed routes.
To apply for ADA complementary paratransit eligibility, you may pick up an application at the CTP office (322 W. Lincolnway) or at the following link: https://t.ly/DLHvY. The public may also call (307) 637-6253 to obtain an application by mail. Riders qualified for paratransit service under the ADA will continue to receive door-to-door service. ADA paratransit trip requests must be made at least one day in advance by calling (307) 637-6253, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. ADA paratransit trip requests can also be made on the CTP app available on Apple and Android devices.
CTP will provide on-demand service to areas outside of the fixed routes for a fare of $1.50. Riders will travel to a transit "hub" and then be picked up by a scheduled on-demand vehicle and taken to their destination. On-demand service is first-come, first-serve and must be scheduled at least a day in advance. On-demand trips outside the fixed routes can be booked by calling (307) 637-6253, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or by using the CTP app.
