The team delivered an extraordinary performance, bringing home multiple top finishes across events:
- Ruger Brown earned first place on Mushroom
- Thorin Condon achieved an incredible sweep, placing first in all events
- Barrett Brown claimed first place on Floor, Vault, High Bar, and All-Around
- Lucas Murkin secured first place on Mushroom, Still Rings, and Parallel Bars
This remarkable showing caps off an impressive inaugural season for the boys’ program, which began in December 2025. Throughout the season, the team competed in meets across the region, including in Lakewood, Loveland, Colorado Springs, and Lafayette, before concluding their journey at the State Championships in Laramie.
“This group of athletes has shown tremendous dedication, resilience, and growth throughout the season,” said Coach Hannah Murkin. “To see them achieve this level of success in our very first year is truly remarkable and a testament to their hard work and commitment.”
The debut of the boys’ competitive team marks an exciting new chapter for Cheyenne Gymnastics, said Shannon Mitchell, Cheyenne Gymnastics specialist and operations manager, highlighting the continued growth of the program and its commitment to providing opportunities for athletes of all ages and disciplines.
