Cheyenne Fire Rescue (CFR) is providing an update to the community on the status of a large apartment fire that happened May 26, 2026, on East Carlson Street.
After the fire, CFR requested assistance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ (ATF) National Response Team to support CFR's fire investigation of the Ridgeview Apartment Complex fire.
The ATF NRT deployed a 25-member team to Cheyenne and the Wyoming State Fire Marshal's Office assisted with components of the investigation. The joint on-site phase concluded on Wednesday, June 3, and the NRT has since departed.
The investigation remains active. CFR and ATF NRT investigators are continuing to review reports and evidence collected during the on-site phase. A final report is anticipated within 60 to 90 days.
