The Cheyenne Greenway Foundation’s 17th Annual Spring into Green 5K/Run/Walk is set for Saturday, June 20, 2026, and will be located at the Boys and Girls Club at 515 W. Jefferson Road.

The race will begin at 8 a.m. and the start area for the race will be located near the Boys and Girls Club parking lot. This year’s course will take runners and walkers west along the Greenway to Parsley Boulevard and north to the turnaround point across the Parsley bridge over I-80 before heading back to the club.

The Cheyenne Greenway Foundation hosts the race every year to fulfill its mission and raise funds for amenities on the Greenway that are not typically funded by the City.

Race categories for kids include Ages 7-12 and 13-17. Adult age categories will be 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Winners in all categories for both men, women, boys, and girls will be acknowledged with 1st place receiving a medal.

Preregistration for the race is $35. Registration can also be completed the day of the race beginning at 6:30 a.m. for $40. The entry fee for kids is $25.

The race will be timed by Foot of the Rockies.

Runners and walkers are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle to save on cups and waste. Water will be available at the 5k turnaround and at the start/finish. Water station volunteers will be available to help and course marshals will assist with directions and encouragement along the route. Dogs on leashes are welcome as are strollers (please plan to start behind the pack).

As always, the Foundation will treat the runners to a light breakfast at the end of the race. T-shirts are optional and start at $20.
