2025 Greater Cheyenne Greenway Fall Cleanup scheduled Sept. 13-28
Published on September 04, 2025
With cooler weather on the way, the Greenway Fall Cleanup is scheduled for Sept. 13-28, 2025, and Greenway segments are available for organizations or groups that would like to join this annual effort.
More than 70 groups, such as businesses, churches, schools, non-profits, and clubs, provide regular cleanup along segments of the Greenway in both the city and county. This year, three Greenway segments are open for adoption:
- The Crow Creek segment in Martin Luther King Jr. Park;
- A segment in the Saddle Ridge neighborhood; and
- The new segment along Burlington Trail Road from Campstool Road to HR Ranch Road (near Sierra Trading Post).
Any groups or organizations interested in adoption a Greenway section should contact Jeanie Shrednik, Greenway and Parks Planner, at 307-638-4379 or jshrednik@cheyennecity.org.
In addition, Greenway staff ask that if anything has changed with a participating group’s contact information, Greenway segment preference, or if the group is unable to continue with the program, contact Shrednik by e-mail or phone.
Participants should wear boots or sturdy shoes, long pants, and gloves for clean-up efforts. Greenway staff can provide trash bags and light weight gloves upon request.
Groups are asked to contact Cheyenne Greenway staff when their segment is complete, and crews will pick up the filled bags from the side of the path following clean-up.
The City of Cheyenne and the Greenway Advisory Committee appreciate the community’s continuing support of the Greater Cheyenne Greenway and their significant maintenance contributions.
