Up and Coming

For 2014 we have two more great projects!

Polk Avenue Greenway

The Polk Avenue Greenway will close the ¼ mile gap in Sun Valley between US 30 and Pershing Blvd.  This project will include road paving and placement of a pathway on the east side of road.  Estimated construction cost is $500K.  A $250K grant from the Wyoming Business Council will cover half of the cost.  The project straddles City & County jurisdictions, and Laramie County has been an important partner in the process.  Engineering design is being prepared by AVI.  View the overall site plan(PDF, 4MB) .

On-Street Bicycle Plan Implementation Phase I

The On-Street Bicycle Plan Implementation Phase I will place up to 16 miles of on-street bicycle facilities in the urban core of Cheyenne to increase network connectivity between the on-street and off-street bicycle facilities in the community.  This first phase implements some of the high priority recommendations of the Cheyenne Area On-Street Bicycle Plan & Greenway Plan Update that was adopted in 2012.  The project should go out to bid early spring of 2014. View the preliminary plan of improvements(PDF, 199KB).
