Current Projects

Working with the Construction Division Director of Cheyenne’s Public Works Department to identify sites needing accessibility improvement. This includes curb cuts near public venues and along major streets in the Cheyenne area.
Working with the staff at the Laramie County Library to assure that the new library will be constructed according to ADA guidelines. The Council will be reviewing the plans and making suggestions to improve accessibility for all library patrons.
Working with the Cheyenne Frontier Days Committee to improve accessibility for rodeo and night show seating, parking, and other facilities during the Frontier Days celebration.
Promoting the Disability Friendly Business campaign in conjunction with the Cheyenne Business Leadership Network. This campaign recognizes businesses for making a commitment to hire persons with disabilities or aid employees with disabilities; for promoting positive awareness among its employees to the needs of all customers; or for meeting the needs of employees and customers with disabilities in terms of accommodations in and around the place of business.
