Mission Statement:
Provide cost effective and efficient solid waste collection and disposal, recycling,
and composting services for the citizens of Cheyenne and landfill disposal for the
citizens of Western Laramie County.
Services:
Residential and Commercial solid waste collection and transport, transfer station
operations, compost facility operations, recycling collection and transport, landfill operations, hazardous household
waste collection, landfill and Happy Jack Road litter cleanup, special pickups, roll-off
container rental and handling, special cleanups, dumpster delivery and pickup.

Sanitation rates: Please call the Sanitation Division at 637-6440 to obtain
current rates for residential
or commercial
establishments, rates for dumpster or roll off container rental, or costs for other
services such as special pickups. (See
Fee Schedule) In order to help reduce these costs and preserve
landfill space, we have implemented solid waste diversion programs. These include recycling, composting, and
disposal of household hazardous waste (see web pages for these
programs).
**The
Sanitation Department does not accept yard waste with solid waste.
Section 8.44.040 of the City Code requires proper disposal of such contents.
