 Did You Know?

By following the watering schedule you are helping to keep future water prices lower.

The watering schedule distributes water use throughout the week, this helps delay the need to expand treatment capacity at the water treatment plant. Cheyenne consumes approximately 7 million gallons of water per day during the winter and up to four or five times that much during the summer. The difference is irrigation.

Water conservation isn't just about using less water, it's also about using the community's investment in the water system wisely. Why spend millions of dollars to expand the water treatment plant? Consider that the expansion will only be used a couple of weeks out of the year to water our yards.
