The GIS department resides under the direction of the City Engineer’s Office. The GIS department:
- Maintains and creates digital mapping data and maps
- Provides template maps and custom maps
- Provides digital data of many different data layers
Custom maps include, but are not limited to :
- Platted blocks, lots, public rights of way
- Street centerline maps
- Address point locations
- City limits
- Creeks and lakes
- Physical Features; airport, government buildings, ball fields, golf courses
- City parks
- Transit routes
- Storm sewer locations
- Zoning maps
- Aerial photos
- Special flood hazard areas
