Carey Avenue/Pioneer Avenue Rehabilitation Project
The $3.7 million rehabilitation project started on October 27, 2009 and will take over 13 months to complete.
The project area is from Carey Avenue from Lincolnway to 24th Street, Pioneer Avenue from Lincolnway to 19th Street, and 19th Street between Carey Avenue and Pioneer Avenue. |
The project includes:
- Upgrade and replacement of water lines.
- Rehabilitation of sewer lines and manholes by relining.
- Replacement of storm drain laterals and inlets.
- Replacement of traffic signals at four intersections.
- Installation of streetscape elements such as concrete bump-outs at the intersection corners, stamped concrete inserts, decorative street lights, landscape trees, and benches in accordance with the Downtown Development Authority District guidelines.
- Overlay and/or replacement of pavement throughout the project.
