PROFILE

The Cheyenne Regional Building Department was created and exists to protect our primary customer, the citizens of Cheyenne.

The Chief Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing Inspectors are required to have master level status which is seven years in the trade, four as a journeyman. All Inspectors, plans examiners, and permit technicians are ICC certified within one year of employment with the department. Certifications must be renewed every three years through testing and related education. Currently, in addition to the above requirements, three inspectors are required to have inspection certificates as amusement ride inspectors.
