How much does volunteering cost me?
The focus of mentoring is on building a relationship. Expenses should be minimal. We provide activities for you and your match that are free and many community businesses give a discount to our mentors when they are with their youth match.

How old are the kids in the program? Where do they come from?
The kids in the Special Friends mentoring program are ages 6 – 14. Most of the kids are referred to us by their parent, a teacher, school counselor or other organizations. They are usually from single parent, low-income families in Cheyenne or surrounding communities are of all ethnic backgrounds.
