1. Where do I pay vehicle and property taxes?

Vehicle and property taxes are paid at the County Treasurer's Office at 307 West 20th St. The phone number for Vehicle tax is (307) 633-4232 and the phone number for Property tax is (307) 633-4225.

2. What is the City’s sales tax rate?

The State of Wyoming imposes a 4% sales tax on the purchase of goods. The County imposes an additional 1% that is renewable every four years. The current tax expires on December 31, 2014. The County can also impose an additional 1% tax for specific purposes which was renewed by a vote of the people in May of 2008. This tax will expire when the total amount estimated to complete the projects is collected.

3. I am a vendor for the City – when will I be paid?

Vouchers are approved every Monday at either the regular City Council meeting or at a special noon meeting of the City Council when they are not meeting in regular session. The checks are released following the approval by City Council (available every Tuesday).
