Spring Into Green 2K/5K/10K Set For June 9th

2018 Spring Into Green

CHEYENNE – The 9th Annual Spring Into Green Run, Walk, & Roll is set for Saturday, June 9th at 8:00 a.m. Participants have the option of a 2K, 5K, and 10K course with a start/end location at the Saddle Ridge Park shelter (Foster Ave. & Hitching Post Lane). The race is sponsored by the Cheyenne Greenway Foundation.

The event also serves as an opportunity to check out the completed Saddle Ridge Greenway, with 1.1 miles of new trail from Saddle Ridge Elementary School to Whitney Road and parallel to U.S. Highway 30 connecting to the main Greenway trail system. The new addition brings Cheyenne’s total Greenway Path to over 40 miles.

Tech shirts will be awarded to the first 150 adult registrants with breakfast included for all at the end of the race. For more information, visit

  • 6:30 a.m. - Registration begins at Shelter
  • 8:00 a.m. - Ribbon Cutting for new section of Greenway
  • 8:15 a.m. - START Races; Walkers START at back 
  • 8:45 a.m. - Food Table opens
  • 9:30 a.m. - Awards given:
  • Adults:            1st – 2nd place for 5k &10k men and women
  • Seniors (60+) 1st – 2nd place for 5k &10k men and women
    Youth:        1st – 2nd place for 5k & 10k boys and girls
