Can Do Girls Club: This is a fun monthly gathering for girls ages 6-11. They focus on topics and activities that help young girls make the transition from childhood into young adulthood. The group teaches confidence, teamwork, the need for personal hygiene, how to make and keep friendships and more. Dates and times vary. Contact Alice at 637-6223 for more information.

Girls Group: This is an eight week group focused on empowering girls ages 12-16. It will be held on Thursdays from 4:00 to 6:00 PM starting September 8th at the Office of Youth Alternatives, 1328 Talbot Court. They will discuss such topics as self-esteem, confidence, relationships, bullying, internet use, skill building and more. For more information contact Jojo at 637-6480.

Parenting Group - Supporting Kids Through Difficult Circumstances: This is a four week group for parents of children who are experiencing a challenging life event. The group will look at ways to promote healing, techniques for helping children feel safe, gain an understanding of the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviors, and much more. The group will meet on Mondays from 5:30 to 7:00 PM, starting September 19th. It will be held at the Office of Youth Alternatives located at 1328 Talbot Court. Boys Group: This is a new six week group for boys 12-16 years of age. It will cover a wide variety of subjects that all boys struggle with such as anger management, self-esteem, aspecs of their masculinity, social stereo types and media influences. This group will meet on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 6:00 PM starting October 5th. It will be held at the Office of Youth Alternatives located at 1328 Talbot Court.
